The Royal Oak Exmoor Hotel and Restaurant
We are now back open 7 days a week for lunches and evening meals, from April to the end of September.
The Royal Oak Exmoor is the original and the oldest of all the Royal Oaks in the area. Originally a 12th Century Farmhouse it has a fascinating history and today it's a traditional Country Inn with 4 star accommodation.
The Royal Oak Exmoor offers the highest quality home cooked food 5 evenings a week ( and Friday, Saturday & Sunday Lunchtimes). We have 10 beautiful en-suite bedrooms which include Super Kings, Kings, and Twins, and a fabulous grade 2 listed thatched cottage located 50m away which sleeps up to 8 people.
We love dogs, all well behaved are more than welcome - and yes doggies can go in most areas of the pub and hotel.

Thorne cottage
We have a fabulous cottage available, situated close to the pub. ( 50 meters away)
The cottage sleeps up to 8 and has 1 super king, 1 double, a full sized bunk bed and double sofa bed (large enough for adults) 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room, lounge area & a living room.

Staying with Us
We have 10 Superior En-Suite Guest Bedrooms rooms which include Four Poster beds, Kings and twins, each have their own individual character. Dogs are welcome to stay in all but 2 of the rooms, and just a small charge of £20.00 per stay for your canine (s) to join you on Exmoor
For the best possible sleep experience we only use the finest Alpaca duvets and pillows made with the highest grade Egyptian cotton.
